For a couple of years now, we've done a family picnic on the 4th.  After the
food and flying, we stick around at the field with the best viewing location
for the Plainfield fireworks.

This event keeps getting more popular, and this year was larger than ever.
The club provided the main course of hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers,
and the cooks were Dennis Anderson and Jim Lutes.  They figure they
fed at least 75 people.  There were also plenty of other food and desert
provided by the club members. 

I also want to thank Jim Lutes and Bill Gentry for sticking around and helping
clean up after the fireworks.  [Also, special thanks to whoever brought the
brownies late, because there was over half a plate left that went home with me.]

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this such a wonderful holiday
with family and friends.
