Field Work Day

18 April 2004

As usual, our Field Day was the first real club event, if you can call it that, of the year.  We had several items to get done including painting our new barn, repainting the old one, spreading some gravel in the spectator area, and place new parking bumpers separating the spectator are and parking area..

To help with the gravel and the parking bumpers we rented a Bobcat for the day.  It was a very small expense for the work it performed with Mika at the controls.
John Nyland also deserves a big thanks for transporting the Bobcat, and also using his trailer to go get the bumpers.

We started at about 9am, and we were done by 1pm.  The winds were gusting to about 30 mph, so it wasn't flying weather anyway.  Putting in a morning of work at the start of the year like this really helps make the field look great for the year.

Everyone that helped out deserves a big thanks.
